Import Templates
Import template for product variants
To create variants of a product with the import template, ensure you have existing variant types configured.
- Go to the Import Tool in the menu and click New.
- In the ** Template Typedropdown, select ** Variant.
- Click ** Download File Template** to get the import template.
Use the template to create or change variants and upload your file to apply the changes.
Below follows a description of existing columns. *(There's also a short description in Merchant Center under View template description) *

| ProductId | Id of the product |
| GroupKey | Unique identifier for the group. Can be anything, text or numbers. Products with the same key will be connected to the same variant group. A product can only be a part of one group. If a product already exists in a group and you specify a different key in an import, the product will be removed from the first group. Located under group settings in the variants tab in Merchant Center on existing groups. |
| Dimensions | The name of variation dimension. A comma-separated list of the dimensions to be used for the variant group (example: color,material) Only matches existing dimensions in a variant group. Cannot be used to add additional dimensions to an existing group. All dimensions in the variants group need to be specified |
| Values | Variant dimension values. A comma-separated list of the dimension values that should be used for this variant. Must be in the same order as the dimensions. (example: red,wood) Collapsed Value: True / False True: Variation group will be set as collapsed if True is applied as value on any product in the group. False: False will remove collapsed state and all products in the variations group will show in product lists. Requires value in GroupKey. MainProduct Value: True Will set the product as main product if group is set as collapsed. Will override if a main product already exists. Requires value in GroupKey. |

Import template for product parameters
Via the import tool you can apply parameters and parameter values to products. This requires that you have created parameter groups and their parameters before.
Import template for products
The import template for products can be downloaded by going to the Import tool in the menu and clicking on **New** and then in the Template type drop down. Choosing * Product*and then clicking on **download file template**.
