How to remove a customer

If a customer wants you to remove them from the system, you can do so with the Anonymize Customer function in the customer view in Merchant Center

Anonymizing a user means that all personal data associated with that customer will be permanently removed from our system. This includes their name, email address, and any other identifiable information. By anonymizing the user, we not only protect their privacy but also ensure that their data cannot be accessed or misused in any way. You can remove a customer's data through the following:

  • Search for the customer's mail address or name in the search field in the header or via Customers (CRM)-> Customers.
  • On the customer view, click on the buttonAnonymize userup to the right and confirm.

Once the user has been anonymized, their personal data will be irreversibly deleted from our system. The account will still remain for statistics but all the customer's data will be anonymised permanently. The end customer will therefore not be able to log into the account again. If the end customer shops again with the same mail address, then a new account will be created.

It's important to note that this action cannot be undone, so please exercise caution when using the "anonymize user" function.
