How to edit product texts in other languages
Editing on the Product Page
Default Language: To edit the default language text, use the text fields on the main product view. The name of these field is usually set to Text1, Text2, Text3, but can have a different name in your system.** Other Languages:**
To edit texts in other languages, go to the** Translate **tab. The default language texts will appear on the left, and the translation fields for the selected language will appear on the right.
- To choose a language, click the**"Translation to"** dropdown and select from the available options.
- After editing, click** Save **.
Editing via the Import Tool
Prepare a file with the required columns:** Name**,** Language**, and the ** text fields**(Text1, Text2, Text3) Then:
- Go to the ** Import Tooland click ** New.
- Upload your file.
- Choose ** Productas the template type and select ** Insert/Updatefor the import mode.
- Map the columns you want to update.
- Start the import.
Make a test import on one product to verify which text fields match the columns Text1, Text2, Text3 in the product import for you.
** NOTE** - Be careful not to map empty fields, as this may delete existing texts.
