Markets

A Market refers to a country of sale. Here is described how to work with markets in Merchant Center

In the Merchant Center, under Settings > Markets, you'll find a list of available markets. Here, you can add a new market or edit existing ones.

Field Descriptions:

  • ** Channel:** The channel the market should be eligible in.

-** Country:** The country of sale.

-** VAT Rate:** The standard VAT rate for the selected country.

-** Currency:** The currency set on products and that a order will be purchased in, when the market is selected in the checkout. If not set, the default currency will apply.

-** Group:** Group identifier, set same value to markets you want to be grouped, ex Europe or Scandinavia. Can for example be used to display markets together in a location selector in your webshop.

-** In checkout only** - if checked the market will only be displayed in checkout. How and if the market is used in other places, such as a country selector depends on the implementation in your webshop.

Add new market

  • Go to** Settings > Markets and click New **.
  • Fill in the required information and set the market to** Active **.
  • Click** Save **.

Inactive market

An inactive market won't be available as a country of sale.

It may take up to 30 minutes for a change to take effect when adding new, deactivating or updating existing markets.

Example of usage** How to work with market groups in merchant center If you for example want to display grouped markets in a country selector in your webshop, you can use the Group **field to organize them. This could be helpful when you want to simplify the selection for customers by grouping certain markets together.

Market groups examples:

-** Scandinavia:** Includes Sweden, Denmark, Finland, and Norway.

-** North America:** Includes the United States and Canada.** How to add a market to a group:**

  • Go to** Settings > Markets **.
  • Open the market you want to add (e.g., Sweden).
  • In the** Group **field, enter the group identifier (e.g., "Scandinavia").
  • Repeat this for all other markets you want to include in the same group.

Now, all markets with the same identifier are grouped.** Note:** How these groups are used and displayed depends on how it is configured to work in your webshop.
