Set by a rule on the option group rather than on the option itself

LOCKED

Fixed for the lifetime of the configuration. The shopper cannot change it.

TEMPORARILY_LOCKED

Fixed while the shopper's other choices hold, and changeable again once they change

NONE

No selection state reported, which is the resting state of an untouched unselected option
